I got the idea for this project from the August 2001 issue of "Popular Woodworking" magazine.
The box is made of maple and it measures 4 ¾ " x 7" x 2 ¾". The drawer fronts are made
of walnut. Each drawer has two small compartments measuring roughly 2" x 2". All the
cuts for this project were made with a ¼" band saw.
The jewelry box was finished with two coats of clear polyurethane. The
bottoms of the inside of the drawers are lined with red felt. The back wall of each of the
drawer cavities is also lined with red felt.
This project was fun to build and is great practice for using the band saw.
